I thoroughly enjoyed this author's writings. I feel so involved with the characters, the dedication to family and friends, the dedication of friendship between Zane and Casey and the true innocent love between Zane and Lila. I can't wait to start book #3 of the series
So sad to know there are not more books in this series. The story combines the English world with the Amish world in a very realistic way which is so unlike many of the Amish novels . Appreciate this author's writing in a realistic and current day sense.
This is fast paced wonderful read that will keep you guessing each step of the way. It's realistic and heart warming.
The people involved in this story certainly were patient. I would have given five stars but the story lagged on some. It was , for the most part, very interesting. I would recommend it if you love the Amish stories and life as I do.
A pleasure to read. This book gives insight into the lives an Amish way of life can touch the outside world. Love these books.
The war in Afghanistan takes on new meaning as one reads this well researched book with contemporary problems. Leslie Gould is an expert at leading one through real life circumstances in a first person view. Be prepared to turn pages and wipe tears.
I stayed up til the wee morning hours entranced by the books in this series .
Leslie Gould is a very gifted writer . In both books in this series, there was never a dull moment. Her character development is rich & surprises await around each corner.
Not so much drama is involved that it seems fake--yet enough excitement occurs to keep things interesting, yet practical .
