If you are looking for an example of an individual who is living out their passion and purpose in life, the author, Dr. Evan Edwards is that example. Frequently harassed and arrested more than 50 times by various Turkish authorities, Dr. Edwards was never dissuaded from his passion and purpose.

Dr. Edwards has spent more than 25 years bringing Christianity and the New Testament Bible to Turkey, a Muslim country. According to the book, Dr. Edwards has distributed New Testament Bibles in every province and every major city in Turkey - more than a half million Bibles.

This book consists of Dr. Edwards' experiences, actual Bible quotes and Biblically related messages. Personally, I would have liked the book to have longer passages about Dr. Edwards' experiences in Turkey. Despite this shortcoming, I still feel the book was worth reading.

If we were all driven by our passions and purposes to the same degree as Dr. Edwards, just imagine what we could accomplish.

The book 'It's a Happy Life' caught me by surprise. These true life stories are of a family I have met personally in 2004 while traveling in Turkey. Putting into print his own life adventures in a country where he and his family are still at risk, is not the average story written after escaping to a safer country. They are still living there! The unusual adventures are woven together in a simple and direct fashion using motivational language and inspirational quotes that highlight the secret to his happiness. Success, the topic at the heart of many motivational style books, is replaced in this book by Happiness. The steps to happiness are related in simple and easy responses arising out of every one of his difficult and often frightening life experiences. It challenged my heart attitude to move forward and not retreat from life or the unfinished destiny crying out to be completed in me.
